What I Have Been Up To
Ok, I realized it had been *way* too long since I posted anything. Largely, I haven't had much to post. However, I am working on a project that may be of interest to regular visitors of this site. And, thanks to google analytics, I know that approximately 13% of my viewers are repeat viewers (and I sincerely thank you all!). Recently, I have begun the long and arduous task of scanning all of my old 35mm negatives. I say this is a long and arduous task because, over the past 15 years, I have amassed what I have estimated to be at least 12,000 negatives. Oh yes, you read that right! So, this will take me close to 6 months to accomplish. Sometime in the early fall, it means I will have many, many, many new photos on this website. I am sure my returning visitors will enjoy being able to see many new pieces in with their old favorites.

My secondary hope is that, once all of these negatives are digitized, it will give me the opportunity to pour through my entire library of photos and start the process of putting a couple of books together. This way, fans of my work who may not necessarily want to hang a piece on their wall can at least have photobooks as a means of enjoying my work. I am hoping the books are available in 2010. Keep watching the site for further details.

Thank you all, I appreciate you more than you know.

Are They For Sale?
For those of you who may be looking at the site and wondering if the prints are for sale, well, yes, of course they are. I will be working on getting all these pieces (as well as new ones) priced and set up for sale. In the meantime, anyone who is interested please drop me an email (john@johntozzi.com) if you have any questions.

Thank you.
Thank You, Tom of Finland, Thank You World!
On Saturday, April 28, 2007, the Tom of Finland Foundation website out up a link to my site. It has only been 4 days, but already the response has been overwhelming, and, I admit it, a little surreal as well. I never expected that, in 4 short days, I would receive traffic from, literally, all over the world.

I want to take a minute to thank those of you from the following countries who have already visited my site from the Tom of Finland link:

Australia
Belgium
Canada
China
Czech Republic
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Indonesia
Ireland
Israel
Japan
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Poland
Singapore
South Africa
Spain
Switzerland
Taiwan
United Kingdom
Venezuela
Viet Nam

It humbles this artist from Seattle, WA, USA to know that men from all over the world are enjoying my work. I am old enough to remember a time when news from within my own country took several days to be reported. To know that I can now reach a global audience with the click of a button truly amazes me. Several of you have also sent very wonderful comments (to which I will be responding as soon as possible). For those of you reading this, please take a minute to click on the "contact" link and drop me a line. It means more to me than you could possibly imagine when someone takes the time to tell me what my work has meant to them.

I thank you all and ask you to check back periodically, as I continue to update the site with new works, as they are available.

Thank you world. You are truly inspiring!!!

John
